Our little lady is now 11 weeks old. She is so funny these days the way she plays so much. I sadly had to go back to work this week. I think it was the most painful thing I ever had to do. Chad helped ease my pain by taking the week off to play Mr. Mom. The two of them had so much fun together Chad said he wants me to get a better job so he can be a stay at home dad. FAT CHANCE!!!

Week 11

10 Weeks
Shelby is still growing way too fast. She is such a happy baby. It was my last week home with her and I just enjoyed her so much. She has such a sweet disposition about herself. She started holding herself up this week with her legs. It is the funniest thing because she grunts the whole time she is up. Enjoy!

8 Weeks
Shelby has turned 8 eight weeks old. She is getting way too big too fast. We took her to the doctor for her eight week check up and found out she weighs 11 lbs. 6 oz., which puts her in the 75th percentile for her weight. She also is now 23 and 1/4 inches long, which puts her in the 90th percentile for her height. I cannot believe how fast time flies. I have to go back to work in a couple weeks and I am seriously dreading it, I do not want to leave her. She is so fun now. She loves to smile and talk to us. She is such a happy and good baby, so far. We are SO lucky to have her for our daughter.
Bryan & Paola's Wedding
Bryan Gorman & Paola Inchereggui (sp?) finally got married on August 18 in Galveston. Chad and I were both in the wedding and I got to dress Shelby up like she was. Her Mimi bought her a very cute dress and she got to match her cousin Callie. It was quite the party and everyone had a really good time. Congrats to Uncle Bryan and Aunt Paola!
7 Weeks
Still in Deer Park after 2 weeks Shelby turned 7 weeks old. She got to have a swim party with her cousins and friends Sofie and Ty. Sofie and Shelby had a lot of fun dressing up in their bikini's, which Chad hates. Shelby also got to go swimming with her cousins Drew and Garrett and second cousins Anna and Kirk.

Shelby was also able to finally meet her Uncle Josh, they were so excited to meet each other.
6 weeks
5 Weeks
At 5 weeks Shelby traveled with Nana and her Mommy to College Station to watch her cousin Drew take swim lessons. She was very impressed with his skill. Her and Garrett also had fun playing together, even though at one point he tried to suck on her head. :) They are too cute together. Shelby loves all her cousins. She also traveled to Deer Park and got her first haircut, believe it or not! She has so much hair and it was growing so long in the back she had an 80's tail going so Mrs. Toni trimmed it up for her. She said she was her youngest client ever.

Shelby's First 4th of July
Shelby got to celebrate her first 4th of July with a bang! Of course she was well dressed for the occasion, even though her Nana says she looks like a suicide bomber in the picture with the fireworks around her. We had Nana, Papa, Uncle Bryan, and Aunt Paola over for brisket and fireworks. We had a lot of fun shooting them off in front of the house. Nothing even phased Shelby except for the big string of Black Cats her daddy set off twice. I hope she doesn't get to be adventurous with fireworks as her Daddy and Uncle Bryan are. We hope you enjoyed the 4th as much as we did!

Daddy's Best B-day Gift Ever!
If you have not already heard, we were blessed by the arrival of our gorgeous daughter, Shelby Reese, on June 26th at 5:50 a.m. She weighed 8 1/2 pounds and was 20.5 inches long.
The morning of the 25th, Chad's birthday, I felt as though my water had begun to leak. After calling the doctor around noon, she told me to go to the hospital to get checked out. At 3:30 I was told that I was not leaking fluid and we were sent home. We then went to meet our families at Outback Steakhouse to celebrate Chad's birthday. As soon as we told them how many people were in our party I felt a sudden gush!!! I did not know if I had wet my pants or what had happened, so I ran off to the bathroom. I then went and got Chad who had just ordered drinks and drug him outside to the car to ask him what he thought. He then ran and got his mother who said she thought it had to be my water. When we got to the hospital the same woman who had previously told me my water had not broken earlier in the day, confirmed it definately had broken that evening. I was admitted to the hospital around 6:30 in the evening. After being given pitocin around 8:00 I labored through the contractions until I was FINALLY given an epidural around 1:00 AM. I quickly fell asleep and slept till 4 AM. When I woke up I was 9 cm dialated and about ready to push. At 5:50 AM our little girl came into this world, five hours and fifty minutes shy of having her daddy's birthday. She was gorgeous and had a full head of beautiful thick, dark and wavy hair. It is at least an inch long in some places, but great for bows.
We are all doing great. She is a wonderful and perfect child, so far, we could not have asked for anything more.

Shelby's Pad
Tuesday, June 12, 2007
When do you think???
I went to the doctor on Monday, the 11th, and much to our surprise I am already dialated 2 centimeters and 60% effaced. Shelby is still very high though, but the Dr. said it could be anytime even though I am only at 36 weeks. Our families have started placing bets on weight, height, and what day, so if you care to join in with a guess, just email it to Chad or myself. We will keep you updated and will have ultrasound photos next week for you.
There he goes again!
Chad competed in another triathalon this past weekend in Sugarland. He was 15th out of the 55 in his age group, not too shabby! He did awesome no matter what he says. I am waiting to get pics from his brother because I video taped instead of snapping pics. I will post them when I get them as well as post his final standing, but Good Job Chad!!!

Run Chad Run!!!
Or should I say, swim, bike, & run Chad! Chad competed in his very first triathalon this weekend and did awesome! He had to first swim 500 meters in Lake Woodlands, then bike 15 miles around town, and finally run 3.2 miles around Market Street in The Woodlands. He did it all in 1 hour and 24 minutes! Chad came in 18th out of 35 in his age group, and 189 out of 640 finishers. I am so proud and extremly impressed. Of course you know the McDaniel curse, when you really need the camera, the battery is dead, so I was not able to take any pictures. They did have a professional taking pictures of everyone so I am hoping they will post those soon and Chad will be in some of those. Check back soon to see. Maybe when he does the next one on June 10th, in Sugarland, my battery will be charged.
